What is a dry bulk truck Trailer?

What is a dry bulk truck? Dry bulk trucks, also known as bulk cement trailers or pneumatic trailers, are specialized vehicles used to transport dry, powdery materials with a diameter of less than 0.1 mm, such as lime powder, mineral powder, coal powder, and flour.

Features of bulk cement tanker trailers

1.The dry bulk truck employs a surface treatment process that integrates pickling, passivation, shot blasting, spraying, curing, and drying to increase paint adhesion and corrosion resistance.

2.The tank body of the powder tanker truck adopts fully automated laser double-sided welding technology to ensure uniform and smooth weld seams.

3.Each powder can truck undergoes laser non-destructive testing after production, achieving a 100% pass rate before delivery.

4.The unloading rate can reach 12 cubic meters per minute.

Tank design and working principle of bulk cement trucks

Dry bulk truck mostly employ V-shaped or W-shaped geometry. Dry bulk tank trailers are not simply different types of tank trailers; their structural and internal design follows the gravity-guided principle of fluid mechanics.

Small capacity dry bulk truck typically feature a V-shaped design, primarily used in single-compartment configurations. The bottom inclination angle of the tank is usually designed between 20 and 35 degrees, utilizing the material’s own weight to draw it towards the bottom discharge port.

W-shaped dry bulk truck are more commonly found in large-capacity trailers. By incorporating multiple discharge hoppers, they significantly improve loading and unloading efficiency, effectively lower the vehicle’s center of gravity, enhance driving stability, and shorten the distance the material needs to travel to the discharge port.

The Application of Dry Bulk Tank Truck Trailer

Dry bulk tank trucks have a wide range of applications, covering multiple industries such as construction, chemicals, and food. The most common materials they transport include dry bulk goods such as fly ash, mineral powder, iron powder, lime, and flour.
