40 Ft Platform Trailer Introduction
40 feet is the international shipping standard size. A 40-foot platform trailer fits perfectly with a 40-foot container, and can also transport two 20-foot containers by setting a lock in the middle. Compared to skeleton trailers, 40 ft platform trailers can transport a wider variety of goods, including containers and various types of bulk cargo, making them extremely versatile.

Detail Picture of the Platform Trailer
The flatbed trailer has longitudinal U-shaped steel beams laid under the floor to support it, significantly improving the load-bearing capacity of the trailer’s bottom and preventing deformation or denting of the floor due to compression.
Design of the chassis and suspension system for a 40-foot flatbed trailer
The 40 ft platform trailer’s suspension undergoes multi-faceted reinforcement. The front and rear suspensions are reinforced with welded triangular channel steel, and to improve the coordination between the two suspensions, diagonal steel is welded between them for added stability. This improved suspension stability also protects the tires, reducing wear, extending tire life, and lowering maintenance costs.

Advantages of the INTAI 40-Foot Platform Trailer:
While 40 ft flatbed trailers on the market are largely similar in appearance and size, details such as materials, manufacturing and welding processes, and product design concepts are the decisive factors in determining product quality.
1. Steel Used: We don’t blindly pursue low prices, but instead use high-standard BAOSTEEL Q345B or T700 high-strength manganese steel to construct the main beams. Compared to ordinary carbon steel, our main beam has 30% better resistance to torsion and its strength has been tested on bumpy roads in Africa, making it suitable for various complex road conditions.
2. Submerged arc welding technology: The main beam and side beams of the 40-foot platform trailer are all welded using fully automated submerged arc welding, resulting in uniform welds with strong penetration. It offers greater stability compared to manual welding.
3. Details and Customization Services: Regarding the thickness of the flatbed trailer’s floor plate, we will communicate with the customer to confirm the type of goods being transported and provide a reasonable design solution based on the transported goods. Standard configuration includes 3mm checkered plates, which are wear-resistant and non-slip.
