Recently, we thank CHIV, a leading Chinese steel structure supplier, for their trust in us and have officially signed a procurement agreement to order 50 customized flatbed trailers for transporting long steel structures.

Steel structure transportation is characterized by its extra-long, extra-heavy, and highly rigid nature. To address these characteristics, we provided our client with four removable uprights on each side to ensure the stability of the steel structure during transport and prevent cargo slippage. Considering the wear and tear on the flatbed trailers, our engineers designed 20 trailers with 4mm checkered plates for the floor, while the other 30 feature removable wooden planks for easy disassembly and replacement, reducing floor maintenance costs.

To meet China’s weight restrictions, the main beams are made of T700 high-strength steel, which is lighter, reducing the weight of the flatbed trailers and thus increasing the weight of cargo that our client can transport.

Steel Transport Flatbed Trailer Fixing System:

Stakes & Pockets: Reinforced stakes are welded to both sides of the flatbed, and steel poles are inserted to prevent steel pipes or round steel bars from rolling to the sides.

Heavy-duty Straps and Pull Rings: Unlike ordinary transport, steel requires high-strength chains or thickened webbing. The trailer edges are equipped with densely packed steel pull rings, typically requiring a single-point pulling force of 8-10 tons or more.

Headboard Reinforcement: A thickened steel headboard (usually 1.2m-1.5m high) is installed directly behind the front of the trailer, acting as a last line of defense during emergency braking to protect the cab from being penetrated by propelled steel.
